The Upvise Web Interface is very fast because it takes advantage of the HTML5 persistent Local Storage feature.
We also just released a performance optimisation when switching between the different Upvise modules using the top black bar.
Wen you start your browser, (if you are already signed in ), only the modified data since last time is exchanged over the network, which is very small, so the UI is very fast.
But there is a limit to the maximum size of the local cache, which is about 2.5 MB on Chrome and Safari, 5MB or Firefox and 8 MB in Internet Explorer 10 Preview
To get the optimal performance with Upvise Web App, you need to have all your data in the local storage cache.
Here are our recommendation;
3) If you data size is bigger than 5MB, you can manually change the limit of local storage on Firefox (this option is not available on Chrome, Safari or Firefox)
- Type about:config in the Firefox address bar, then search dom.storage.default_quota option.
- Enter a new value (in kilobytes), for example 20480 (for 20 megabytes)
- Exit and restart the browser.
