You can add your own custom currency to be used in Upvise apps.
Goto your Upvise web account, click on your email in the top right corner, then select My account. Click on Company Settings in the Left Pane menu, then click the Edit button to update your account currency. You can choose a currency from the list or add your own currency code.
You can also update your account currency on your phone. Goto the Settings screen in Upvise, and set a currency from the list or add a custom currency code.
After you add the new custom currency, you will be able to set it in Expenses, Quotes, Invoices, Products in the Sales app,…
Alternatively, when editing the Currency field of a Quote, Invoice, Expense, etc.., you can add a custom currency code. In this case however, the currency will not be stored as your default account currency.
You may have experienced this problem in your Upvise web account: when you open the account, you can only see your Contacts and clicking on the Home icon to display the list of other apps does not work.
This is probably because you are using the Contacts Old application, which is no longer supported in the web interface. With the Contacts Old app open, the Home icon does not work.
What you need to do is first export all your Contacts from your web account, with the Export link.
Then goto the Upvise Settings / Add Remove Apps page (https://www.upvise.com/uws/settings/applist.aspx), and add the (new) Contacts app.
Goto the new Contacts app with this direct link:
And import your Contacts CSV file from the old application.
Once you have opened the new Contacts app, this will be the default app that will re-open each time. With this app, the home icon will work. It’s only with the Contacts Old app that the home icon doesn’t work.
Once your contacts have been imported, you can safely remove the old Contacts app from the Manage Apps section.
To import items with categories into shopping lists, you have to do the import in two steps.
First you import your category and list names into the Upvise Shopping Lists app by going to Edit Lists and Edit Categories in your web account, and clicking on the Import link.
This is how your CSV file should look like to import the names:
“Books and DVDs”, “Books and DVDs”
“Fruits and Veggies”, “Fruits and Veggies”
Note that the id field can be any string, as long as it is unique within the list of names. So you can use the name of the category or list as an id.
The second step is to import your items. The categoryid and listid are the ids that you used when importing the names.
So this is an example how your CSV should look like:
title, listid, categoryid
“Apples”, “Groceries”, “Fruits and Veggies”
Note that you don’t need to specify the id for the item, as our server automatically creates a unique one for each item. You also don’t need to specify all the fields that are in the export, they will be automatically set to the default value if not present.
Your items will be imported and automatically mapped with the imported categories and lists.
You can now specify the Skype Name for an Upvise Contact, as well as a Phone Number 2. In your web account, you can start a Skype chat with a contact by clicking on his Skype Name.
