Contacts Shared by All Users

We have added an option in the Contacts app, to allow all contacts to be shared by all users of the company account, whether they own the contact or not and whatever their user privilege.

You can set this option in the Contacts web app / More Options button. When ‘Data Shared by All Users’ is checked, all Contacts and Companies are accessible by all users, even Standard Users, who can otherwise only access the data they own.

Breakdown of Sales Forecast in web interface

We have added the functionality to see the breakdown of opportunities that make up each Sales forecast figure in the Sales web app.

Custom Fields for Projects and Quotes

You can now add your own custom fields to a Quote in the Sales app and to a Project.

Click on the More button in the web app and select Custom Fields to define new fields and edit existing ones. The Custom Fields section will then appear in the View and Edit pages of projects and quotes, both in the web interface and on your mobile.

12-hour Time format for Calendar events in web interface

We have introduced an option to display time values in the 12-hour time format, i.e. 1:30 PM.

To change the setting between 12 and 24-hour time format, goto the Calendar web app and click on the More button in the toolbar, then Options.

Note that the display on your phone uses the native setting for time-format in your phone Settings menu.

Generate Report on Notes Created

In the Notebooks web app, you can now generate a report which calculates the number of notes entered for a time period per user.

Click on the Reports tab in the left pane, then select a start and end date for the period and click on Show Report.

Display only Events in Calendar

We have added an option to display only events in the Calendar. By default, all due dates for tasks, projects, opportunities, work orders, are displayed in the Calendar.

If you goto the Calendar web app and click on the More button, then choose Options, you can check the option to display only Events, both in the web app and on your phone.

Work Order Enhancements: custom fields and link to Opportunity

Some new feature in the Work Order application:
1. We just added the option of defining custom fields for Work Orders.
On the web interface, go the “Work Orders” app, then “More” button in the toolbar, select “Custom Fields” and define some fields.
Then set the custom field values when Editing a Work order on the Web and on the mobile. (on iPhone/iPad, you need to wait a few days until the Upvise client upgrade is available on the AppStore).

2. We also added the option to link a Work Order to an Opportunity on the Web Interface, in the Edit view.

New Compact Layout for web apps

We have added an option to display a Compact view of items in a list, which fits on one line, versus an Extended Layout which displays on two lines.

You can switch layouts from the More button in the header of the Contacts, Notebooks and other web apps.

We just released a new version of Upvise client 3.8 for Android platform.

New search UI: there is now a search icon replacing the search box at the top of the list. It saves space and is more consistant
UI enhancement with Android 4.0 look & feel
Smaller application size and overall performance improvements
Bug correction in data syncing when there is no network connection.

New option to display company name in contact drop-down lists

We have added a new option to the Contacts web app, to display the company name next to each contact in drop-down lists, when setting contacts linked to a project, task, opportunity, etc… This makes it easier to identify a contact in a list, specially in cases where you have many contacts and there are contacts with the same or similar name.

To set the option, goto the Contact Options page by clicking on the More button in the web app, then select Options. Check the “Display Contact Company” box.
